How this all started
A couple of years ago, a friend, Ross Bowring called me and asked me if I would like to be interviewed on a cable radio station in the UK, called Southside Radio.
I agreed, and met the amazing Alex Lewczuk for the first time.
That was the start of a journey which continues to this day.
After a few interviews, Alex asked me if I would like to have my own half hour “slot”, and the idea for The Wheel of Life programme was created.
In the programme, I have a conversation with a guest about 6 of the “spokes” of his or her Wheel of Life- health, money, relationships, time, leisure and spirituality. You can listen to a short compilation of clips from recent conversations here.
As you get to know me, you will find out that I am a bit like a sponge – I soak up knowledge from all manner of places, and if someone prods me in the right place, it comes spilling out!
I love being able to help people find something they are looking for, and I really love introducing new thoughts, new ideas and new resources to those I know.
So I decided to bring all of this “stuff” together and create a place where it can be more easily found.
Many of the areas that interest me fit quite neatly into one of the 6 Wheel of Life “spokes”, so I’ve made one category for each “spoke” and many posts sit happily there.
But, being me, there are things I come across, or which occur to me, which do not fit into these categories, and for them there is the “catch-all” of Random Thoughts from my Butterfly Brain.
I hope you will enjoy coming here, and will find things to inspire, amuse, help, provoke and challenge.
Links to resources
You will find many links to resources here.
Some will link to information or tools for which there is no charge.
Some tools and information will charge for their use.
If a charge is made, and if I receive a benefit of some sort from the resource, then there will be a * by the link so that you know.
You will find that if I tell you about something, and have made arrangements to be paid for spreading the word about it, then I use and value it myself.
