Me and money

Like a lot of women, I did not pay a lot of attention to money for much of my life.

I was married for nearly 20 years to a man who did not want me to know anything about his financial affairs. He had his own business, paid me a monthly allowance for household expenses and my own personal spending, and took care of all other payments himself.

Which was pretty normal in the 70′s and 80′s.

But then we parted, and suddenly I had to learn about money, and I had to figure it out myself.

I bumbled along pretty well, until in 2002 I met a remarkable lady called Teresa Romain.
